Revere Auctions, St. Paul

We started a boutique auction house because Minnesota deserved one.

Robert Snell and Sean Blanchet founded Revere in 2017. The premise was simple: fine art and decorative arts of real quality were leaving the Midwest for the coasts. Their owners deserved a regional house that could sell the work at the prices it deserved.

Nine years later, that's the auction house we run. Twelve specialties. Two thousand lots a year. National reach, local stewardship.

George Morrison, "White Painting" (1975). Sold this spring for $562,500 — a world record for the Minnesota modernist.

What we sell

Fine art. Asian art. Decorative arts and furnishings. Modern and contemporary. Jewelry and watches. Photography. Coins and currency. Native American art, with a published ethics statement and an active repatriation practice. Books and manuscripts. Handbags. Sports memorabilia. And the occasional thing that doesn't fit any category.

"We do not bury the work in mystery, and we do not pad the descriptions with adjectives. We tell you what we believe it is, what we think it will bring, and we work hard to bring it there."

How to work with us

Most people start with a free estimate. You send photos and a bit of background; a specialist in the right category responds in 5 to 7 business days with a market value.

If we sell it, we list it in the next appropriate sale, photograph it carefully, write a description that holds up, and place it in front of bidders who want it. If we can't sell it well, we'll tell you that too.

For estates, full collections, or corporate art deaccessions, we work with attorneys, trustees, advisors, and family offices. Discreetly, on your timeline.
